Welcome to Malcolm Inglis Upholstery

In June 2024 we moved from our Opua location to a home-based workshop on a rural block in Kaeo, creating a fantastic lifestyle change.

Malcolm (Mal) continues to provide the same high-end workmanship and service our clients are accustomed to, but in a more relaxed setting.

Mal's career path began with motor trimming as a teenager in Kerikeri. In the years that followed he went on to work on a wide variety of vehicles, boats (including full trim on luxury boat builds), furniture and many other areas of textile fabrication.

Now, with over 40 years' upholstery experience, Mal has a reputation that is second to none for his ability to combine old-school craftmanship, modern materials, and innovative design to create stylish upholstery solutions that will last. He takes pride in his work, no matter how big or small the job is and will happily fabricate the simplest items.
